UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — PSAA Presents is every Penn Stater’s home for all of the virtual programming that the Penn State Alumni Association offers. Alumni and friends can find events and programs that will inform, educate and inspire through the Penn State Alumni Association’s PSAA Presents programming.

The Virtual Speaker Series makes its return for 2022 on Jan. 18 with a session highlighting Penn State’s “The Lost Bird Project: An Ode To Vanished Species.”

The Lost Bird Project” features five sculptures of extinct North American birds. The project, which encourages activism and thoughtful discussion, serves to memorialize birds driven to extinction by human activity.

Join Jason Beale, animal care program director at Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center and a lifelong conservationist, to learn about the project’s history and the lost species, find out where the sculptures can be viewed, and hear recovery success stories to inspire and empower community-based conservation.

Practice yoga and meditation

Was practicing more healthy habits in your 2022 New Year’s resolution? Consider attending the virtual PSAA Presents presentation “Flow and Let it Go: A Practice in Yoga and Meditation.”

This class is designed to help you release what is no longer serving you. We will energize the body with the breath, move into a fun flow, and then ground into a meditation to release all that is weighing us down. Join to flow and let it go!

The Jan. 25 class will be led by instructor Sima Farage. After 20 years in the corporate world, leading a stressful, hectic lifestyle, Farage met yoga. Inspired by the change yoga gave to her life, she delved deeper into the holistic approach to healing. Farage studied plant-based nutrition with T. Colin Campbell at Cornell University and received certification in Ayurvedic Medicine Lifestyle at the Chopra Center. She also completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training course at Yoga Lab.

Sign up for the Jan. 25 class for free here.
