Commemorate your Penn State story in the Alumni Association's Alumni Plaza

Spring paver installation set for April; create your legacy by Feb. 1

By purchasing a paver in the Alumni Plaza, Penn Staters can celebrate a milestone such as graduation, remember a cherished time, or show their Penn State pride. Some also use a paver to honor people they love, like one three-generation Penn State family did for “Po” and “Pa” Andersen. Credit: Penn State Alumni Association

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Everyone has a Penn State story that describes their love for Dear Old State.

The Alumni Association invites anyone who has enduring love for Penn State or for someone who attended the University to create a lasting legacy by purchasing a paver in the Alumni Plaza. Individuals, families, groups and anyone else with a positive message may purchase a paver. Orders received by Feb. 1 will be included in the spring 2024 plaza installation, slated to begin in April.

Penn Staters can view options and order a paver on the Alumni Association’s website.

Located directly in front of the Hintz Family Alumni Center, the Alumni Plaza will further enhance the University's alumni home on campus, continuing to make the area one of the most visible and visited locations at University Park. It also will serve as another reminder of the power of the Penn State network, featuring more than 174,000 Alumni Association members and over 775,000 living alumni.

Pavers can celebrate a milestone such as graduation, remember a cherished time, or just to show your Penn State pride.

Room remains for more members of the Penn State family to add their very own paver to Alumni Plaza. Pavers are available in three sizes. Learn more on the Alumni Association’s website.

Alumni Plaza helps fund critical student programs at Penn State

Proceeds from the Alumni Plaza will be placed in a permanently endowed fund that helps two student groups affiliated with the Penn State Alumni Association — the Blue & White Society and the Lion Ambassadors — as well as helps other student programs like the FastStart program for underrepresented first-year students. These programs help students get to know the Alumni Association; strengthen their connection to the Penn State alumni network; and learn about community, philanthropy, leadership, teamwork and Penn State traditions. All contributions to the Alumni Plaza are fully tax-deductible and will be acknowledged with a receipt from Penn State.
