UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State has the largest dues-paying Alumni Association in the world. But if you’re not already a member there’s no better time to join than now, during June’s “You Belong in the Alumni Association” membership campaign.

That’s because alumni who join or renew their memberships at http://alumni.psu.edu/belong will automatically be entered in a drawing to win one of three football ticket packages. They’ll also get great new membership benefits that begin on July 1.

The first new benefit is access to the Alumni Association’s local chapters, which used to require separate dues. Now participation in a local chapter will be a core benefit of Alumni Association membership — without additional fees or dues.

“A single point of access to all the ways alumni want to be involved, including in their local communities, makes it easier for Penn Staters to stay connected with each other and the University,” said Paul Clifford, CEO of the Alumni Association. “We couldn’t be more excited about this change and joining now ensures  access to your local Penn State chapter as a member benefit.”

All members also will gain access to LionPerks, the association's new member benefits platform with discounts on thousands of products and services across 25 categories like clothing, electronics, travel, automotive, and many others. Members can search and personalize discounts based on their interests and location.

These new benefits extend the Alumni Association’s tradition of keeping alumni connected with Penn State and with each other. With more than 171,000 members, the Penn State Alumni Association is the largest dues-paying alumni organization in the world, and membership is the primary point of contact with Penn State for many alumni and friends.

All Penn Staters who join by June 30 will be entered in the association’s football ticket giveaway. Current Penn State Alumni Association members can opt in to enter the sweepstakes at http://alumni.psu.edu/belong. To enter without joining the association, people can send their name, address, telephone number(s) where they can be reached, and email address to membership@psu.edu with the subject line "Football Sweeps."
