Alumnus-led creative firm named 2018 Clio Agency of the Year

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — MOCEAN LA, a leading independent marketing and creative advertising agency headed by Penn State alumnus Michael McIntyre, was named Agency of the Year at the 2018 Clio Entertainment Awards, held earlier this month in Los Angeles.

McIntyre, who earned his bachelor’s degree in graphic design in 1990, is president of the design firm, which took home a total of 22 awards at the event for its work for clients such as Disney/Marvel, Netflix, Amazon, Starz, HBO, Fox Studios and NBC Sports.

McIntyre has stayed active in the Penn State community and was a 2007 recipient of the College of Arts and Architecture Alumni Award. He also has hired and mentored Penn State design students over the years.

The Clio Entertainment Awards are held annually to celebrate innovation and creative excellence in advertising, design and communication, as judged by an international panel of advertising professionals.
