Penn State's Vocal Dimensions and Inner Dimensions present Fall Concert Dec. 5

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State’s premiere Vocal Jazz ensemble, Vocal Dimensions, and big band Inner Dimensions will present their Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, in the School of Music’s Recital Hall.

The opening set will feature dynamic arrangements of familiar vocal Jazz standards including “Nature Boy,” “Feelin’ Good,” and “Café” alongside the gentle, nostalgic tunes “Make Someone Happy” and “What a Wonderful World,” made popular by Louis Armstrong.

In the second half, Inner Dimensions will feature a variety a variety of big band favorites, including Rob McConnell’s virtuosic arrangement of “Just Friends,” Bob Brookmeyer’s revolutionary “Ding Dong Ding,” Doc Severinson’s famed version of swing era classic “In The Mood,” and Thad Jones’s sentimental “A Child Is Born.”

Tickets are available for purchase at the Arts Ticket Center. Admission is $12.50 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets will also be available at the box office, which opens one hour before the performance.

For those unable to attend in person, the concert will be available to stream live.
