Calpulli Mexican Dance Company tells narrative-based stories entirely through dance, music, and elaborate costuming, representing a carnival of folkloric traditions and original creations.
"Día de Muertos" is a story in which a loving couple falls victim to treachery and is separated, seemingly forever. The young woman enters the underworld of Aztec mythology, where the mesmerizing Catrina reigns as queen.
