UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Samuel Guerrero, the social media and digital marketing manager for Penn State's Bryce Jordan Center, has received two prestigious awards in the live events industry. Guerrero was named the Breakthrough Professional of the Year at the annual EAMC Awards ceremony, hosted by the Event & Arena Marketing Conference. Additionally, he has been selected to join the 30|UNDER|30 Class of 2023, a program organized by the IAVM Foundation.

The EAMC Awards ceremony took place at the Sheraton Grand Seattle during the organization's annual conference. The awards aim to recognize the outstanding contributions of venue marketers, promoters and publicists from across North America. Nominations were submitted by colleagues, and the top entries per category were chosen by the EAMC attendees. Guerrero's exceptional achievements and expertise in social media and digital marketing earned him the title of Breakthrough Professional of the Year.

"I am honored to receive this prestigious award from EAMC," Guerrero expressed. "It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team at the Bryce Jordan Center. We strive to engage and connect with our audience through innovative marketing strategies, and this recognition encourages us to continue pushing boundaries in the live events industry."

In addition, the IAVM Foundation has announced the 30|UNDER|30 Class of 2023, a program designed to recognize emerging leaders in the venue management industry. This year, the program received 143 nominations. Guerrero's achievements and ability to effectively communicate in various formats distinguished him among the pool of talented young professionals.

James Wynkoop, CVE, chair of the IAVM Foundation Board of Trustees, commended Guerrero and his fellow honorees, stating, "The members of the Class of 2023 are not only talented at what they do, but also able to communicate effectively in multiple formats. They have demonstrated both creative and critical thinking abilities. The IAVM Foundation is proud to announce this class of 30|UNDER|30 as one of the best in the history of the program."

As part of the recognition, Guerrero and the other award recipients will receive full complimentary registration and hotel accommodations to VenueConnect 2023, a prestigious industry event that will take place in Pittsburgh from July 31 to Aug. 3. The conference will give the honorees networking opportunities and exposure to industry leaders.
