'Borderline' screening examines borderline personality disorder

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A free public screening of the film "Borderline" and a post-screening panel discussion will examine borderline personality disorder at 7 p.m. Nov. 6 in Carnegie Cinema.

The film is about a woman who has borderline personality disorder who first tried to kill herself at the age of 5. Now 45, she's intent on trying to live ... most of the time.

The film was directed and produced by Rebbie Ratner. Penn State faculty member Anita Gabrosek, an assistant teaching professor in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications, served as the film's editor.

The panel discussion will feature Ratner, Gabrosek and Kenneth Levy, an associate professor in the Department of Psychology.
