UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State's presentations of Catalyst Quartet and Alfredo Rodríguez Trio will take place in alternate venues due to the fact that Schwab Auditorium, the original location for the concerts, is closed for repairs.
The Thursday, Sept. 17 performance by Catalyst Quartet will be held in Music Building I’s Esber Recital Hall on the University Park campus. The Thursday, Sept. 24 Alfredo Rodríguez Trio concert will be held at The State Theatre on College Avenue in downtown State College. Both performances begin at 7:30 p.m.
Patrons who previously purchased tickets to either concert must return them to the Arts Ticket Center at Eisenhower Auditorium in person (weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or via mail (Arts Ticket Center, The Pennsylvania State University, Eisenhower Auditorium, University Park, PA 16802). The old tickets will be exchanged for reserved seats at Esber and general-admission seats at The State Theatre.
“I want to thank our good colleagues at the Penn State School of Music and The State Theatre for assisting us with new locations for these performances,” said Center for the Performing Arts Director George Trudeau.
Complimentary parking for both performances will be available at the Eisenhower Parking Deck, and complimentary wheelchair-accessible shuttle service will be provided between the Eisenhower deck and each venue.
Artistic Viewpoints, an informal discussion featuring a visiting artist, will take place at the respective venue one hour before each performance.
For ticketing information about the two concerts, visit new venues or call 814-863-0255.
