Center for Arts and Crafts accepting registrations for summer 2019 art camps

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Registration is now open for the Penn State Center for Arts and Crafts’ 2019 summer art camps on the University Park campus. Camps are offered for children in grades one through nine and vary for each session and age group.

Students can choose from a variety of themed camps — nature, outer space, animals, multicultural art, room decor and more.

The cost is $230 per camp.

The weeklong art camps run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and are offered for the following grade groups: first and second, third through fifth, and sixth through ninth. Camp dates are as follows:

Session 1: June 17-21
Session 2: June 24-28
Session 3: July 8-12
Session 4: July 15-19

No camps will be held during the week of July 1-5.

Half-day wheel-thrown pottery camps also are offered for children entering grades six through nine. Pottery camps are for two weeks and run from either 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. each day. Camp dates are as follows:

Session 1: June 17-28
Session 2: July 8-19
