ERIE, Pa. — A performance of Karl Jenkins’ “The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace” will headline this year’s Penn State Behrend Chamber Singers and Concert Choir’s fall concert.

The concert, titled “Dona nobis pacem,” will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at First United Methodist Church of Erie, 7th and Sassafras streets.

“The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace” was commissioned by the United Kingdom's National Museum of Arms and Armour to celebrate the new millennium and mark the museum's move from London to Leeds. The piece was dedicated to victims of the Kosovo War crisis and premiered on April 25, 2000, when it was performed by the National Youth Choir of Great Britain at The Royal Albert Hall in London.

Works by Argento, Allaway and Scriven will also be performed at “Dona nobis pacem,” which in Latin means “Grant us peace.”
