'CMT Hot 20 Countdown' featuring Penn State’s Happy Valley Jam debuts July 15

Show will feature behind the scenes interviews — and more

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Happy Valley Jam made history July 8 as the first-ever concert held in Beaver Stadium on Penn State's University Park campus. Tens of thousands of fans converged in the second-largest stadium in the Western Hemisphere to celebrate a historic day for Central Pennsylvania — and along with them was CMT’s Cody Alan to film the latest “CMT Hot 20 Countdown.”

Country music and "The Voice" superstar Blake Shelton headlined the historic event, along with performances from Chris Young, Big & Rich, and newcomers David Ray and Adley Stump. The cast and crew of CMT caught all the concert excitement on tape with behind the scene interviews, and host Cody Alan toured the beautiful campus visiting historic local landmarks like the Nittany Lion Shrine, Old Main and The Berkey Creamery.

The show will debut this weekend on Saturday, July 15, on CMT at 9 a.m. ET.
