UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Grammy-nominated comedian and New York Times best-selling author Jim Gaffigan will bring his popular stand-up act to Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 8.
Gaffigan is the star of the semi-fictitious television series “The Jim Gaffigan Show,” which will begin its second season on TV Land this summer. In addition to his own show, Gaffigan has guest starred on television comedies and dramas ranging from “Portlandia,” to the HBO cult hits “Flight of the Concords” and “Bored to Death,” to dramatic roles in all three versions of “Law and Order.” On the big screen, his credits include “Three Kings,” “Hot Pursuit,” “Super Troopers,” and “17 Again.”
Gaffigan is currently traveling the world on behalf of his stand-up tour, “Contagious,” appearing before a sellout crowd at New York City’s Madison Square Garden in December.
Tickets to “Contagious” go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 24. Tickets range in price from $35.75 to $69.75 and can be purchased in person at the Bryce Jordan Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Downtown Theatre, online at ticketmaster.com, or by calling 800-745-3000.
A discounted student ticket presale will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23. Penn State University Park students can purchase tickets starting at $15.75 courtesy of the University Park Allocation Committee. Student tickets will be available in person at the Jordan Center Box Office, Penn State Downtown Theatre, and Eisenhower Auditorium, as well as online through Account Manager.
