UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The 2013-14 season of WPSU-TV’s "Conversations from Penn State" kicks off with "Home(town) Security," an interview with urban revitalization strategist, Majora Carter, to examine how to bring economic diversity back into America’s communities and why it matters.
The episode will air at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, on WPSU-TV. The show also can be viewed at http://conversations.psu.edu online.
"Conversations from Penn State," with seasoned interviewer Patty Satalia at the helm, offers thoughtful, in-depth exchanges with a broad range of remarkable people. In many cases, their trailblazing work has advanced their field, drawing national and worldwide attention.
Carter, an advocate for green infrastructure projects and policies, makes her living as an internationally renowned urban revitalization strategy consultant, real estate developer and Peabody Award winning broadcaster. She uses her expertise as narrator in WPSU’s Water Blues, Green Solutions, an upcoming documentary about green infrastructure in major cities throughout the country.
