UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Palmer Museum of Art will present their summer 2015 Art After Hours event from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 13, on the Palmer Museum of Art Plaza on the University Park campus of Penn State. Pack a picnic dinner, bring a lawn chair or blanket, and invite your friends and family to enjoy a live performance by Eric Ian Farmer + Friends.

Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina -- but born in State College, Pennsylvania -- Farmer is a local songwriter and singer, who keeps alive classics by artists like Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding, as well shares his own songs about finding one’s path in life, eternal love, and social awareness. Farmer will be joined by State College area musicians Kevin Briggs, mandolin, Jason Crane, saxophone, Andrew Jackson, congas, Gary Abdullah, bass, and Josh Troup, drums.

Complimentary ice cream from the Berkey Creamery will be served. In the event of rain, the performance will be held in the Palmer Lipcon Auditorium, and seating may be limited. Free parking is available in the adjacent lots.

The museum galleries will be open. Special exhibitions currently on view include "Recent Acquisitions" through Aug. 9. and "Flora and Fauna" through Aug. 16.
