CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Gallery at Penn State Lehigh Valley will host a new exhibition to celebrate the work of four master of fine arts alumni from Penn State's School of Visual Arts. "PSU MFA," runs Jan. 20-Apr. 26 with a reception and alumni night at the gallery from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 6. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

The featured artists represent different generations of graduates, diverse media in the visual arts and professional excellence in their field. The installation of iPads will enable students and guests to learn more about each artist and the School of Visual Arts while viewing the work in the gallery. A full color catalog will be produced.

The exhibit includes acrylic on canvas by Jan Crooker, Class of 1976, wood-fired native clay sculpture by Tim Rowan, Class of 1999, charcoal portraits on paper by William H. Snyder III, Class of 2006, and mixed media sculpture by Margaret Kinkeade, Class of 2013.

"Penn State Lehigh Valley has embraced the rich artistic history of the Lehigh Valley area by infusing the visual arts into its campus culture and engaging practicing artists through gallery exhibitions, workshops and demonstrations," said Ann Lalik, gallery director and arts coordinator at the campus. "Through this exhibition students will also be exposed to the notion of advanced degree studies in the arts."
