UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Due to possible rain in the forecast, the Music in the Gardens concert originally planned for Wednesday evening, June 7, at The Arboretum at Penn State has been moved to 6 p.m. Friday, June 16.
In addition to rain, hourly forecasts Wednesday evening are calling for temperatures to drop below thresholds considered safe for the instruments.
“Music in the Gardens: Healing the Soul,” part of the Penn’s Woods Music Festival, features an evening of outdoor music performed in the garden rooms of the H.O. Smith Botanic Gardens. Festival musicians will be “planted” in each room and perform multiple 10- to 12-minute sets beginning at 6 p.m., followed by a final program at 6:45 p.m. on the Arboretum’s main lawn. The concert is free and open to the public.
