The Big Apple Express service will be available every weekend starting on Friday, Oct. 5, departing State College at 2:30 p.m. and taking passengers right into midtown New York City.
The bus leaves State College at 2:30 p.m. on Friday and arrives at 7:15 p.m. at New York's Port Authority Bus Terminal, 625 8th Ave. between 40th and 42nd streets, just in time for a fancy New York City dinner or Broadway show. For people in New York who want to spend a weekend in Happy Valley, the express returns to State College at 8 p.m. Fridays from Port Authority Bus Terminal. This will be helpful to those who would like to visit Penn State and the surrounding community for the weekend. On Sunday, buses will leave State College at 11 a.m. and arrive in the city around 3:45 p.m., departing at 5 p.m. for the return to State College, with an estimated arrival time of 9:30 p.m.
