Patterson Gallery hosts a larger-than-life exhibition

University Park, Pa. -- Larger-than-life self-portraits by students in Art 422: Advance Figure Drawing, taught by Salvatore Schiciano, a graduate student in painting, will be on display April 6-10 at the Patterson Gallery, Patterson Building. The exhibit is titled "ECCE," from the Latin phrase Ecce Homo for Here is Man, and features 84-inch-tall portraits of each student. Rather than developing technique, Schiciano's intention is to help the students gain a greater knowledge of who they are as young artists and how that can be translated through figural representation.

An opening reception will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 9. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. For more information, contact Schiciano at sjs418@psu.edu.
