ERIE, Pa. — The second annual Patricia S. Yahn Student Art Show at Penn State Behrend opens Monday, March 12, in the college’s Lilley Library gallery. Its Reception of Awards will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m on Friday, March 16.

“Creativity is essential in most leadership roles. Penn State Behrend is well known for its ability to produce leaders, so it is great to have this creative outlet on campus,” said Heather Cole, a lecturer in digital arts who helped organize the show.

The show features works from students from all four of Penn State Behrend’s academic schools. During the reception, one student will be recognized with the Patricia S. Yahn Juror’s Choice of Show Award, and four others will receive a Juror’s Choice Award in Painting, Photography, Digital Arts and Alternative Media.

The show will remain on display through April 27. It is supported by the arts administration degree program at Penn State Behrend and an endowment gift from Patricia S. Yahn and her son, Greg Yahn.

Both the show and reception are free and open to the public. Parking is available in the Reed Union Building lot or any visitor parking lots, and visitor parking permits can be obtained from the Police Services office in Erie Hall.
