UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Nicholas P. Jones, executive vice president and provost at Penn State, discusses his career, his approach to leadership and his thoughts about the University on the next episode of WPSU-TV’s "Conversations from Penn State."

The episode will air at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, on WPSU-TV. The show can also be viewed at http://conversations.psu.edu.

In the conversation, Jones discusses with host Patty Satalia what enticed him to join Penn State, the challenges facing higher education in the 21st century and his vision for the future of the University.

A native of New Zealand, Jones came to Penn State from Johns Hopkins University where he served as the Benjamin T. Rome Dean of the Whiting School of Engineering. Now he serves as Penn State’s chief academic officer, as well as a professor in the College of Engineering. Jones’ appointment began July 1 of this year.

"Conversations from Penn State," with Satalia at the helm, offers thoughtful, in-depth exchanges with a broad range of people. In many cases, their trailblazing work has advanced their field, drawing national and worldwide attention.
