Registration open for Center for Arts and Crafts' summer adult art classes

Art classes, workshops begin the week of July 9 at University Park

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Center for Arts and Crafts at Penn State is taking registrations for summer adult art classes, which begin the week of July 9 on the University Park campus. These noncredit classes are open to all Penn State faculty, staff and students.

A variety of classes are offered, including wheel-thrown pottery, drawing, acrylic painting, photography, belly dancing and more. The center also offers a number of workshops, such as ink portraiture, crocheted scarves, zentangles, button tree canvas art, and many others. Classes and workshops are instructed by Penn State art and art education majors and local professional artists.

Those interested in participating can register in person from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday in 003 Ritenour Building; a valid Penn State ID is required.
