      Registration still open for President's Concert

      This year's President's Concert will take place from 7:30 to 9 p.m. March 20 at the Hershey Theatre

      UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The University community is invited to join the Penn State School of Music and the Penn State Alumni Association for the 13th annual President's Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, at the Hershey Theatre in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This year's concert will feature performances by the Philharmonic Orchestra, Centre Dimensions Jazz Ensemble, and Trombone Choir.

      At 5:30 p.m., Penn State alumni and friends will gather at a pre-concert reception in the Hershey Story Room of the Hershey Story Museum, hosted by Penn State President Eric Barron and the Penn State Alumni Association. Those attending the reception will be escorted to reserved seating for the President’s Concert. Admission to the concert and reception is $25 for Alumni Association members and students, $45 for nonmembers, and $10 children ages 6-17. Children under age 5 are free.       Those who are unable to attend the Alumni Association's pre-concert reception but would like to attend the 7:30 p.m. performance can purchase tickets online or by calling the Hershey Theatre at 844-379-0307. General admission tickets are $17.15 plus fees. Concert tickets for music students and their guests are provided free of charge by the Penn State School of Music and can be reserved by using the President's Concert Ticket Order Form.

      The annual President's Concert series provides an opportunity for Penn State students to present concerts in the most renowned performance venues on the East Coast. In its history, Penn State ensembles have traveled to Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh; the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.; Carnegie Hall in New York City; the Strathmore Centre in Bethesda, Maryland; and the Forum Theatre in Harrisburg.
