School of Music to present 18th annual Penn State Jazz Festival

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The 18th annual Penn State Jazz Festival, set for Friday, March 31, and Saturday, April 1, will include workshops and masterclasses with outstanding guest artists, appearances by high school jazz bands, and two gala concerts. 

The guest artists — Jon Faddis, trumpet; Tim Warfield Jr., saxophone; Steve Rudolph, piano; Bob Hart, bass; and Marko Marcinko, drums — will join to present an all-star jazz combo concert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 31, in Esber Recital Hall, and will return to the Esber stage to perform with Centre Dimensions at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 1. Tickets for the Friday and Saturday evening concerts are $4.99 general admission and free for students. No advance ticket purchase is available. Ticket sales are cash-only and will go on sale 45 minutes prior to each concert in the lobby.
