UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Student Programming Association’s Noontime Concert Series has announced the back half of the Spring 2018 lineup. It features an eclectic group of weekly concerts so any music lover can find something to fit their taste. The shows take place on Friday at noon each week.
The lineup starts the week after spring break with TK the Architect, an Indie R&B/Hip-Hop act on Friday, March 16. The next week features Rivers, a folk band that has previously played Noontime, on Friday, March 23. Lauren Scott, a singer songwriter, performs the final show of March on the 30 of the month. Dry Reef, a “surf indie” band, will perform on Friday, April 6. The next week, April 13, will be the Noontime Student Showcase, a once-a-semester tradition where student acts get to perform on the Noontime stage. Soft Idiot, an indie rock act, will take the stage on Friday, April 20. Jams Before Exams, a performance of classical music, will round out the semester on Friday, April 27.
Repeat attendees to SPA Noontime can get a punch card at any Noontime show and have it stamped at that show and at a second show during the following week. Two stamps entitles you to a free Noontime-branded coffee mug.
“Noontime is very excited to release the last half of our lineup as we have worked hard to bring diverse acts to reflect our diverse student population,” said Noontime Chair Michelle Mischler. “The concert series has made great strides this year and we are thrilled to see the presence of the series grow on campus. You won’t want to miss the last shows of our lineup this semester!”
