Students can receive extra 15 percent off ‘Timber!’ tickets on Sept. 26

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- In celebration of National Lumberjack Day, University Park students can receive an additional 15 percent off the $19 student ticket price to Cirque Alfonse “Timber!” from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. only on Friday, Sept. 26.

Students must present a valid student ID and say “lumberjack” to receive the extra discount, and only one discounted ticket is available per student; the discount is not valid on prior purchases. This special rate for “Timber!” will only be offered on Sept. 26 at Eisenhower Auditorium Arts Ticket Center (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and at the HUB-Robeson Center Information Desk (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.). A grant from the University Park Allocation Committee makes Penn State student prices possible.

For the sale, students are encouraged to dress like a lumberjack, wear a favorite flannel shirt and participate in activities on the Eisenhower Auditorium patio from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students will receive a buy one, get one free coupon from the State College IHOP location for a meal, while supply lasts.

Canadian acrobats, accompanied by folk musicians, perform jovial yet daring stunts of agility and strength in “Timber!” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, in Penn State’s Eisenhower Auditorium. Inspired by the exploits of the first North American lumberjacks and farmers, three generations of the Carabinier family, their friends and a band come together in “Timber!” to create a festive explosion of talent and skill.
