Virtual screening of election-related documentary scheduled Oct. 7

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A timely virtual screening of a documentary about voter suppression in advance of the 2020 election will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 7 on Zoom, sponsored by the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications.

“Suppressed 2020: The Fight to Vote” focuses on the issue of voter suppression with personal accounts from voters of color across the state of Georgia during the 2018 midterm election when Stacey Abrams sought to become the first Black female governor in the United States.

A question-and-answer session with director Robert Greenwald will follow the 39-minute film screening. Free registration for the event may be conducted online.
