ALTOONA, Pa. — Jerry Zolten and Robert Crumb will replicate an original "Chimpin' the Blues" session at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, in Paterno Library's Foster Auditorium on Penn State's University Park campus.

"Chimpin' the Blues" began in 2003 when the pair got together in WPSU's studio and recorded a one-hour program in which they played favorite rarities on record and chatted in between tracks about the music and artists. "Chimpin'" was commercially released in 2013 on both vinyl and CD and has since been selling worldwide.

During the event, Zolten and Crumb will spin original, rare 78 RPM vinyl records, amplifying the sound and projecting the label images as they discuss and nitpick about the music and turn the show into a one-of-a-kind experience.

Zolten is a professor of communication arts and sciences and integrative arts at Penn State Altoona.
