DuBOIS, PA. - DuBois volleyball traveled to New Kensington Saturday to play their final regular season matches. They would take on both New Kensington, and then Kent St. - Tuscarawas to cap off the season with a tri-match. DuBois came ready to play, and made quick work of both opponents. New Kensington fell in three: 25-9, 25-14, 25-15, and DuBois went on to beat Kent St. - Tuscarawas 25-7, 25-7, 25-9.
Ceprish hits milestone with DuBois wins
Senior Skylar Ceprish hit a milestone of 500 kills in her career as she had three kills against New Kensington. Ceprish is the third member on this short list at Penn State DuBois to reach this milestone, behind Ally Easton (689) and Keara Schrefler (578).
DuBois' setter Catherine Gregory had 32 assists in the win versus New Kensington, while Kyara Girvan put up double digits in kills with 10. Sydney Kaschalk had nine kills, and teammate Kierra Keck came away with 11 digs.
DuBois went on to beat Kent St. - Tuscarawas later in the day: 25-7, 25-7, 25-9. Gregory put up another 30 assists, while Kaschalk would put down 11 kills on a .588 hitting percentage. Ceprish would add another nine kills to her record, and Girvan would put down seven kills with a hitting percentage of .667.
DuBois will be back in action on Thursday, Oct. 28, when they host the first round of the PSUAC playoffs.
