UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Citizens throughout central Pennsylvania and fans attending Saturday’s Penn State-Rutgers football game are being advised that a military flyover will take place during pregame ceremonies.

U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornets are scheduled to fly over Beaver Stadium immediately following the national anthem, at approximately 11:43 a.m. The planes will be flying from the south as they approach the stadium.

Two of the pilots are Penn State graduates — Lt. Nate Shuey and Lt. Mike Webb.

The No. 14 Nittany Lions will host the Scarlet Knights at noon Saturday, Nov. 11, for Penn State’s 98th Homecoming contest and Military Appreciation Game. The Beaver Stadium gates will open at 10 a.m. and the game will air on Big Ten Network, the Penn State Sports Network (10:30 a.m. airtime) and GoPSUsports.com.
