DuBois women’s basketball drops a close game to Penn State Shenango

DuBOIS, Pa. — The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team traveled to Penn State Shenango on Tuesday night, Nov. 16, for its first Penn State University Athletic Conference matchup of the season, falling in a close 55-51 game. 

DuBois trailed by only four points at the end of the first quarter, and was down only nine points at the half. A comeback ensued for DuBois, as Shenango was held to 1-of-15 shooting from the 3-point line. 

DuBois won the third and fourth quarters by five points, but the team's comeback bid ultimately fell short. Floor leader Lexey Shick recorded nine points, six rebounds and seven assists, while Cierra O'Shell led DuBois with 12 points on four 3-pointers.

The DuBois women will be back in action on Friday, Nov. 19, as they travel to Penn State Scranton for an 8 p.m. tipoff.
