Field hockey No. 5 in latest NFHCA poll

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State field hockey team checked in at the No. 5 spot in the latest  National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) poll, as released Tuesday morning.

Connecticut holds the top ranking in the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Coaches Poll as the Huskies enter the weekend looking to cap off an unbeaten regular season. 

Connecticut notched 1,097 points and 41 first-place votes to claim the top ranking. The Huskies have a 15-0 mark and will conclude the regular season this weekend when they visit Quinnipiac on Friday and host No. 11 Boston College on Sunday. 

In the rest of the top five, Duke maintained its slot at No. 2, Michigan slid up to No. 3 while Virginia moved down a position to No. 4, and Penn State joined the group at No. 5.
