Golden receives the regional accolades for the first time in her career and is just the second person in program history to earn the honor. Dana Sarcinello had received the third team recognition three times in her career.

In her senior season, Golden led the nation in goals scored (38), goals per game (1.81), and total points (85). She recorded at least one goal in 15 of 21 contests and registered two or more goals on 11 occasions this season. The standout forward was named the NEAC Player of the Year for the second straight season and has earned All-NEAC First Team honors for the fourth consecutive year.

For her career, Golden is the all-time leader in program history for points (254), goals scored (111), and game-winning goals (18). She ranks third in school history for assists (32), games played (87), and games started (87). With those scoring totals, Golden will rank among the top-10 all-time in the NCAA record books.

Golden and the Nittany Lions finished the year 15-4-2 overall and 10-0-1 in the NEAC. The teams won the NEAC Championship for the sixth consecutive season after defeating Keuka College, 4-0, in the title game.
