UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State has finalized changes in four grass parking lots for Saturday’s football game against Kent State, due to heavy rain earlier this week. Cars will be re-directed to other parking lots near Beaver Stadium.
On Tuesday, Penn State announced Yellow Lot 12, the Orange Preferred Car, Brown Preferred and Family Friendly lots will be closed on game day (see details below).
Fans attending Saturday’s game who do not have a parking permit will not be able to purchase a permit for the Beaver Stadium parking lots on game day.
Penn State is asking patrons for their patience and understanding, as this week’s rainfall has left some grass lots unsuitable for parking. Fans are strongly encouraged to carpool and not bring an RV for the Kent State game. RVs will not be permitted in the Blue, Orange and Purple grass lots (see details below).
Fans who normally park cars and RVs in paved lots will be unaffected. Permit holders with a white stripe through their permit have a paved parking space, which are not impacted by this Saturday’s lot closures. Available Beaver Stadium parking lots will open Saturday at 7 a.m. Kickoff is at noon.
Fans who normally park in the Brown or Orange lots will be able to use their parking permit in all Yellow lots (other than Lot 12) or at the following locations:
-- Innovation Park, 200 Innovation Blvd., State College, PA 16803 (No RVs; no overnight parking).
-- Red A, located off of North Atherton Street and White Course Drive (Cars or Red A RV permits only; no overnight car parking).
-- Nittany Parking Deck or East Parking Deck on campus (No RVs; no overnight parking)
-- Grange Park, 149 Homan Lane, Centre Hall PA 16828 (Overnight car and RV parking is available). Grange Park will accept all parking permits for the Kent State game.
