UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Lion Country Lodging has teamed up with Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics to become a Preferred Hotel Partner of Penn State Athletics.
Lion Country Lodging is launching the sponsorship with a multi-faceted marketing campaign with Penn State’s 31 varsity sports that includes in-game exposure, digital and on-property activation, as well as a unique opportunity to engage fans by being the first ever entitlement sponsor of the Penn State Football Team Arrival.
Five State College hotels under the Hospitality Asset Management Company umbrella, known as Lion Country Lodging, will be offering Penn State fan benefits to those supporters that choose to book through LionCountryLodging.com. Those hotels include Days Inn Penn State, Hilton Garden Inn, Quality Inn, Super 8 and the AAA Four Diamond Carnegie Inn & Spa.
The partnership will be the first of its kind for Penn State Athletics. The groundbreaking nature of this partnership of Penn State Athletics, the hotel industry and Lion Country Lodging is just one dramatic component the company is taking to differentiate the guest experience at the Hospitality Asset Management Company hotels.
“Penn State fans are among the most dedicated fans in college sports, so to align our hotels with the program and fan base is a new adventure we look forward to taking on,” said Mark Morath, President of Hospitality Asset Management Company. “We plan to utilize our designation as a Preferred Hotel Partner of Penn State Athletics and this marketing campaign to showcase our hotels as every Penn State fans’ home away from home while visiting Happy Valley.”
“We are very excited to welcome Hospitality Asset Management Company as a new partner of Penn State Athletics and recognize Lion Country Lodging as a Preferred Hotel Partner of Penn State Athletics,” said Tom McGrath, Penn State's Associate Athletic Director for Business Relations. “Penn State fans can be sure to experience a warm welcome and high level of accommodation when staying at one of their hotels during a visit to Happy Valley.”
