      Men's hockey television schedule announced

      UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Nittany Lion men's hockey team will have at least 11 games televised, including eight to a national audience on either BTN, ESPNU or ESPNews, during the 2014-15 season, the Big Ten Conference announced Monday (Sept. 22).

      The Big Ten Network will broadcast Penn State conference home matchups against Wisconsin (Feb. 6) and Minnesota (Feb. 20), while airing road contests at Michigan State (Feb. 14) and Ohio State (Feb. 27).

      Three games will air on the ESPN family of networks, including a pair of contests on ESPNU. The network will broadcast a pair of Nittany Lion home games, including the Michigan State game Jan. 17 and Minnesota contest Feb. 21. ESPNews will broadcast the Nittany Lions' first road game at Wisconsin Dec. 5.

      A trio of Penn State contests also will air on FOX Sports Regional Networks. FOX Sports Detroit will broadcast the Nittany Lions' Feb. 21 road game against Michigan, as well as their Feb. 13 matchup at Michigan State. The Penn State-Minnesota matchup Saturday, March 14 will air on FOX Sports North+.

      BTN also will provide live coverage of all five games from the 2015 Big Ten Men's Ice Hockey Tournament, scheduled for March 19-21 at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena.
