UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State will host Indiana University at noon on Saturday, Oct. 28, for Penn State’s 12th annual Military Appreciation Game. Citizens throughout central Pennsylvania and fans attending Saturday’s football game are being advised that a military flyover will take place during the pregame ceremonies during the National Anthem.
Two EC-130J Commando Solos from the 193rd Special Operations Wing of the Air National Guard in Middletown, Pennsylvania, are scheduled to fly over Beaver Stadium. The crew, which includes Penn State alumni, will also be recognized on-field during the game. Lt. Col Gary Novack graduated in 2007 and Airman 1st Class Matthew C. Harbaugh graduated in 2016. The game is set to begin at noon and gates will open at 10 a.m.
