ABINGTON, Pa. — The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) named Penn State Abington student-athlete Youssef Omar its men’s tennis player of the week after he earned two wins versus Penn State Brandywine. The sophomore paired up with teammate Michael Litz in doubles to earn an 8-1 victory. In singles play, Omar defeated his opponent 6-3 and 7-5.
NEAC coaches voted Abington’s Jaden Himmelreich its baseball player of the week with a .364 batting average. The sophomore infielder went 4-for-11 at the plate with three runs scored. In an 11-10 win over Neumann University, Himmelreich drove in a pair of runs and earned the save. He finished the week with a .333 on-base percentage and a .364 slugging percentage.
