UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The 2016 Penn State student football season ticket sale will begin on Monday, June 20, and run through Thursday, June 23. The senior class and graduate students open the annual sale on June 20 with the sale continuing through the freshmen ticket sale on June 23.
There is no price increase for student season tickets this year. The seven-game home season ticket package will remain at $218.
All sales will begin at 7 a.m. (Eastern) and close at 2 p.m. Please note that sales may close prior to 2 p.m., if tickets sell out. Eligibility and the daily schedule are posted at Student Central: www.GoPSUsports.com/studentcentral.
More detailed information about the student football season ticket sale will be announced in June.
Students looking forward to being part of what ESPN The Magazine called, "The Nation's No. 1 Student Section," will be a part of a home schedule that includes five Big Ten opponents for the first time in program history -- Minnesota (Oct. 1), Maryland (Oct. 8 - noon, Homecoming), Ohio State (Oct. 22 -- 8 p.m.), Iowa (Nov. 5 -- 7:30 p.m.) and Michigan State (Nov. 26, Senior Day). Penn State also hosts Ken State (Sept. 3) and Temple (Sept. 17) in non-conference play.
Always a highly-anticipated sale, the sophomores and freshmen combined to sell out their allotments in 25 minutes for the 2015 season.
The online sale is open only to full-time registered students with each class being allocated a specific amount of tickets. A "Sold Out" message will be posted to Student Central when ticket resources have been exhausted for that day's respective class sale.
Penn State opens the 2016 campaign against Kent State at Beaver Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 3.
Season tickets for the 2016 campaign, which includes five Big Ten home games for the first time are on sale, with more than 3,200 new season tickets having been sold. There will not be any increase in the price of Penn State football season tickets or Nittany Lion Club donation levels for next season.
