Penn State Lehigh Valley men’s golf team wins second straight PSUAC championship

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — For the second year in a row, the Penn State Lehigh Valley men's golf team took home the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) championship after scoring a combined 670 over two days of action last week on the Blue Course in State College. 

Senior Shane Rhodes came in second overall for the PSUAC and tied for 26th overall, as he carded a 164 total (80/84) over the two days.

Sophomore Ethan Culver wrapped up the top five finishers of the PSUAC and tied for 39th overall with a tally of 167 (79/88).  Sophomore Tyler Schoener scored a 169, senior Nathan Bloomfield recorded a 170, and junior Brendon McMahon tallied a 208 over the two-day competition.

Lehigh Valley finished in seventh place overall in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Tournament (USCAA), just 61 total strokes behind the team from Cleary University, who placed first overall.

Shane Rhodes, Ethan Culver, Tyler Schoener and Nathan Bloomfield were named to the PSUAC All-Conference team and Head Coach Brian Exton was named PSUAC Coach of the Year for the second year in a row.
