UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Nittany Lions meet the Minnesota Golden Gophers for the first time since 2013 on Oct. 1 in a game that will kick at 3:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network. The Penn State-Minnesota contest also airs on the Penn State Sports Network (2 p.m. airtime) and GoPSUsports.com.
Penn State is 8-5 all-time against Minnesota. The Gophers claimed a 24-10 victory the last time the teams met in Minneapolis. Minnesota is making its first trip to Beaver Stadium since 2009 when Penn State collected a 20-0 win. In that 2009 contest, Penn State shutout the Gophers, 20-0, led by NaVorro Bowman's eight tackles and Josh Hull's interceptions. Offensively, the Nittany Lions' were led by Daryll Clark's 287 passing yards and two total touchdowns (one passing, one rushing).
