UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The October 17 primetime matchup between Penn State and Ohio State in Columbus will air on ABC at 8 p.m.

The Penn State-Ohio State clash annually is one of the nation's most highly anticipated contests. The teams have met every year since Penn State began Big Ten competition in 1993.

An electric Penn State Whiteout crowd of 107,895 in Beaver Stadium watched a thrilling double overtime game between the squads last season, with Ohio State claiming a 31-24 win. Wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton caught a Penn State record 14 passes for 126 yards to lead the offensive effort. Mike Hull, the 2014 Big Ten Linebacker of the Year, tallied a career-high 19 tackles, including 2.5 for a loss, and Brandon Bell added 13 stops to pace the defense.

Penn State has won its last four games to move to 4-1 on the season. The Nittany Lions are 4-0 at home for the first time since 2008. Jason Cabinda had a career-high 14 tackles with two sacks and a forced fumble to lead the defensive effort in the 20-14 win over Army. Carl Nassib has excelled in his senior season, ranking second in the country in sacks with 1.6 per game and fifth in forced fumbles (3) and tackles for loss (2.0). Quarterback Christian Hackenberg continues to advance into elite territory among Penn State passers as he now ranks second in Penn State history with 6,756 passing yards.
