Public is invited to attend PSU Day festivities on campus

Penn State Beaver’s annual PSU Day events will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21 and 22. The programs are free and open to the public.

A bonfire at dusk near Harmony Hall residence hall will be held Friday.

The Admissions Office will host an Open House, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 22, in the Student Union Building. A campus carnival featuring inflatable games, novelty attractions, cotton candy, and kettle corn will be held from noon to 3 p.m. that same day. This event is sponsored and implemented by campus student organizations. The Beaver men’s basketball team will take on Penn State alumni in an annual competition that will begin at 4 p.m. in the gym, and a cornhole tournament will begin at 5:30 p.m., outside of Harmony Hall; both events take place on Oct. 22.

Also on Saturday, Oct. 22, the festivities will be capped by a tailgate held prior to and during the Penn State football game in the lobby of Harmony Hall. The Nittany Lions will take on the Northwestern Wildcats at 7 p.m., and free stadium foods will be offered prior to and during the game.
