Registration is open for four winter baseball and softball camps for young athletes. The camps are offered by the Penn State Beaver Office of Continuing Education and the Athletic Department, and will be held in the campus gymnasium.
Beaver campus coaches and staff members will provide instruction, feedback and tips to help campers improve their athletic performance as they develop the necessary skills for their particular sport(s). In addition, participants will interact with other campers of similar ages and skill levels.
The camps are as follows:
-- Baseball Hitting and Fielding
Boys, ages 14 and younger
2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 3, 10, 17 and 24
-- Baseball Pitching and Catching
Noon to 2 p.m. (call for age levels) Feb. 3, 10, 17 and 24
-- Softball Hitting and Fielding
Girls, ages 14 and younger
10 a.m. to noon Feb. 9; noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 16, 23 and March 2
-- Softball Pitching and Catching
10 a.m. to noon (call for age levels) Sunday Feb. 3; Saturday Feb. 16, 23 and March 2
