UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – United States military service members (Active/Reserve)/Wounded Warriors, their direct dependent (i.e. ID Card Holder) and Gold Star families residing in Pennsylvania are invited to attend the Penn State-Purdue football game. The Seats For Soldiers program is part of Military Appreciation Day on Nov. 16 in Beaver Stadium.
Fans and businesses can donate tickets for the “Seats For Soldiers” program by calling 800-NITTANY weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets to be donated to service members are $35 each. Veterans Day is Monday, Nov. 11.
A pre-game tailgate will be held for service members and their families with Seats For Soldiers tickets, and people who have donated tickets to service members (time TBA). ROTC elite, active duty, Wounded Warriors and veterans will be honored for their service during halftime.
Current service members (Active/Reserve) may request a game ticket and up to three additional tickets for their direct dependents (four total tickets per family) by completing the registration form located at the link below.
Single service members (Active/Reserve) have the option to purchase one additional ticket for a guest at a reduced cost. Single service members must register to request their tickets in JSS and identify their request to purchase additional ticket for their guest separately. The information to purchase a guest ticket will be given to the service member once the requested ticket has been confirmed. Also at the Purdue game, Penn State Athletics and the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank will conduct their second annual food drive. Fans are encouraged to Stuff a Blue Bus by dropping off canned goods at the following drop-off locations the week of the game: Bryce Jordan Center, Jeffrey Field, Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, and the Central Pennsylvania Convention and Visitors Bureau. The goal for Stuff a Blue Bus is to collect 10,000 pounds of food.

Coach Bill O’Brien’s Penn State squad (3-1) is idle this week and returns to action Oct. 5, visiting Indiana (noon, BTN) in the Big Ten opener for both teams.
