University Park, Pa. -- Penn State junior Ross Roberts' entry in the first "White Out T-shirt Design" contest has been selected the winner for 2006-07.
The selection was announced Saturday at the Blue-White Football Game.
An integrative arts major from Pleasant Gap, Roberts received more than 40 percent of the approximately 10,400 votes cast during three days of online voting on the four finalist entries last week.
Roberts will receive two tickets to the Penn State road football game of his choice this season, an official team helmet and a $100 gift certificate to the Penn State Bookstore.
Roberts' design will be featured on the first-ever Penn State White-Out T-shirt, produced by Nike. The shirt will be available to the more than 107,000 energetic fans that have made a Penn State home football weekend "The Greatest Show in College Sports," according to SportsIllustrated.com.
Students attending clashes in Beaver Stadium the past two years have established Penn State as the nation's premier "White Out" venue.
