Women’s volleyball set for six Big Ten Network appearances in 2016

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State women's volleyball is set to make six appearances on national television during the 2016 season, as announced by the Big Ten Conference.The annual TV slate features three home dates and three on the road. Penn State's six TV appearances are tied for the most among Big Ten opponents.Penn State makes its first appearance on the Big Ten Network at home in Rec Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 5, when it welcomes NCAA national semifinal contender Minnesota for a 7 p.m. matchup. The Nittany Lions make their next appearance on BTN at Purdue on Friday, Oct. 14, before returning for a mid-week TV match against Ohio State at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, in Rec Hall.The Nittany Lions make back-to-back BTN appearances on the road at Wisconsin at 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, and at Minnesota at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. Penn State rounds out its TV schedule with a home date against NCAA national champion Nebraska on Friday, Nov. 4, in Rec Hall.A complete conference TV schedule featuring all matches available online via BTN2go will be released at a later date.Penn State is set to return four starters for the 2016 season, including AVCA All-Americans Ali Frantti (Spring Grove, Illinois) and Haleigh Washington (Colorado Springs, Colorado), who also earned CoSIDA Academic All-America accolades this fall.Penn State Volleyball BTN schedule (all times Eastern)
