Faculty Speakers Series continues on Nov. 2

The Penn State Beaver Fall Faculty Speakers Series will continue with a presentation on “Nonviolent Communication: Campus Application” by Beth Fleeson, lecturer in English, noon to 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2. The event, which will be held in room 16, Student Union Building, is free and open to the public.

Fleeson also teaches English at the Community College of Beaver County. Previous positions have included serving as a content writer and editor for Creative Consulting Group in Ingomar, assistant editor of poetry for the Fourth River Literary Journal of Chatham University, and assistant editor of poetry for the Hard Freight Literary Journal at Penn State Altoona.

Fleeson received the Richard Russo Award in Creative Writing at Penn State Altoona and the National Collegiate Communications Arts Award (public speaking) from Beaver campus. She is a member of The Association of Writers and Writing Programs and The Center for Nonviolent Communication.

She holds a master of fine arts degree (poetry and creative non-fiction) from Chatham University and a bachelor’s degree in integrative arts from Penn State Altoona.
