MONACA, Pa. — Penn State Beaver’s Office of Continuing Education and Workforce Development, in partnership with the Digital Foundry at New Kensington, is expanding access to the Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing workshop to include high school juniors and seniors.
The 12-hour workshop introduces key concepts in modern manufacturing, including automation, robotics, digital technologies and smart manufacturing. The fall 2025 session will be held in person from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec 2-4 at Penn State Beaver.
All program costs are covered through a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration.
“This program gives participants a firsthand look at the technology that is transforming manufacturing. By engaging high school students, we’re helping them explore rewarding career options while supporting the long-term talent needs of local manufacturers,” said Jill Valentine, director of education and workforce development at Penn State Beaver.
Additional information about the workshop and a Nov. 6 information session can be found here.
