Prospective students invited to attend Presidents’ Day admissions events

The Penn State Beaver Admissions Office invites prospective students to attend three free programs that will be held on campus on Presidents’ Day, Monday, Feb. 17.

An Application Workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Admissions Office, Student Union Building. If participants complete a Penn State application, the $50 application fee will be waived. Some individuals may be eligible to receive an immediate admissions decision that day. Official transcripts are required to complete an application.

Campus tours will be provided. A Lunchtime Financial Aid Seminar will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in the Student Union Building auditorium. The program provides a wide variety of information about how to file a successful Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and will offer other financial information as well. This session is ideal for those who need the information presented in under an hour. A Financial Aid Workshop will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Laboratory Classroom Building Computer Lab. Participants will be introduced to the FAFSA form and will receive directions on how to avoid potential pitfalls in financing a college education at Penn State or any higher education institution.

For more information about these programs, contact the Admissions Office at br-admissions@psu.edu or 877-JOIN-PSU, or visit www.beaver.psu.edu and click on Admissions.
